"Is it alright to take a picture?" I asked.
"Absolutely" replied gallerist Michael Tekath.
I turn towards Gringler's large collage piece.
"I thought you meant a picture of me.", Michale says smiling.
I turn back, frame us both, and snap a picture.
Here is the silly result.
It's nice when these things happen.
Michael then shared information regarding Gringler's work, including a statement and specific details about Poser - 2011 (one of those great 15K pieces I mentioned earlier). My snapshot doesn't do it justice. Gringler's use of different materials (plexi, enamel, mirrors, acrylic, etc.) give this piece a nice rhythmic sheen as you move around it. It twinkles in a dark HR Giger sort of way.
