Happy Presidents Day America!

Initially known as Washington's Birthday (which is actually Feb. 11), the holiday was created to honor our first President, good ol' George Washington. It was later expanded by general popularity to include Abraham Lincoln (born on Feb. 12) and was renamed, unofficially, Presidents Day.

A quick thought about Jimmy Carter: You can say what you want about his Presidency, but the man has since earned a Nobel Peace Prize, written several books, creates hand made furniture in his wood shop, furthered the cause of Habitat for Humanity, and is sharp as a tack. Part 2 here.
